Ball Metals Tour

Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - Depart from Pentaflex via charter bus; 10:00 a.m. - Tour; 12:00 p.m. - Lunch; 3:30 p.m. - Return to Pentaflex, Inc.
Join the Ohio Valley District of PMA for a plant tour of Ball Metals. The plant is located on a 53-acre site near I-75, north of Findlay. Aluminum beverage can lines provide beverage cans and ends, and a steel food-can line produces two-piece D&I cans.
History: The Findlay plant was the third of Ball Corporation's metal beverage container plants. The original plant consisted of two can lines and was built in 1973 at a cost in excess of $14 million. This is the largest can and end plant in the world. In 2007, they produced 15 billion beverage ends, 1.9 billion 12-oz. aluminum cans and 750 million steel food cans. This facility is one of the few that work with both aluminum and steel.

Ohio Valley Annual Golf Outing

Register today to join your metalforming peers at the Ohio Valley District’s annual golf outing, at Beckett Ridge Country Club in West Chester, OH. We will kick off the golf event with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The event will be followed by a cocktail hour, dinner and awards. A boxed lunch will be provided as well.
